Tom Heisler has represented business entities and individuals in a diverse range of matters at both the trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts, including in matters involving contract disputes, business tort claims, fraud claims, licensing and patent disputes, class actions brought under federal consumer protection statutes, and trust issues. Mr. Heisler also has experience in conducting corporate internal investigations, and in advising corporate boards in connection with those investigations. His active pro bono practice includes representing indigent individuals in both civil and criminal matters.
Tom Heisler joined the firm after working as an associate at Sidley Austin, LLP.
Tom received his Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Colorado College and an MFA in creative writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He worked as a freelance writer, an editor for several magazines, and a writing instructor before attending Northwestern University School of Law, where he graduated with honors.
Tom’s avocations are squash, playing music, and writing.
